Welcome to gjh.org.uk

I've had a Web site since around 1996 - shortly before the www exploded and went mainstream. It's had various different designs over the years.

I've never claimed and never would claim to be any good at Web design - I'm pretty useless with such things. This is just a place to call home and keep things. I like simplicity. KISS.

I've pretty much retired from life online over the past few years. I used to be a prolific poster on a number of different fora and Web sites. When I first hooked my 9600bps modem up in the '90s, there was this concept of being part of communities online. I don't think community really comes into it anymore. I was a part of the AOL community in the mid-nineties and a member of Facebook for several years. Both were "social networking" based concepts.

My sincere thanks to Sam Hill for donating some of his server space to make this site a reality. I've got to know Sam virtually over the past 8/9 years or so and it's been an absolute blast. A pub meeting is long overdue!
